The future is here! Samsung Galaxy s8 review

In today’s populated world of smartphones, phone manufacturers find it hard to stand out in both the visual and hardware departments. However, there is an exception. Today we will take a look at the new Samsung Galaxy s8.
You can’t confuse the Galaxy s8’s design for anything. It is arguably the best looking phone on the market right now. The screen, called the ‘’infinity screen’’ takes up close to 90% of the phones front and blends into the edges, creating that ‘’infinity effect’’. The Galaxy s8+ boasts a 6.2’’ screen but is approximately the same size as Apple’s iPhone 7+ with its 5.5’’ screen. When put up next to the iPhone, it makes Apples popular smartphone look incredibly out-dated. So now let’s look at some of the other pros of this phone:
-Build quality: premium glass and metal design
-New and futuristic ways to unlock your phone: Iris scanner and face recognition
-IP68 waterproof
-Wireless Charging
-Headphone jack
-Fast charging
-Fast performance, no lag
-Camera: improved front-facing camera with autofocus, improved image processing on the main one
-Battery life: Will easily last you a day under heavy usage
So does this phone have any negatives? Yes, but very few.
-Price. The biggest downside. At the time of this review the RRP is Australia is $1199 for the S8 and $1349 for the S8+
-Finger print sensor. It is at the back next to the camera which makes it hard to reach and will take some getting used to
-The phones unique 18.5:9 aspect ratio means that most videos won’t take up the whole screen or you will need to crop in
Final verdict:
If you are after a phone that truly stands out for the rest with superior hardware and software then the Samsung Galaxy s8 is the way to go. At this time, nothing comes close!
